Help create awareness in developing countries to END
violence against girls and women in cooperation with Regional
Network on Child Protection (RENOCP).
1. Subject of the Poster:
In cooperation with an International Non Governmental Organization and registered
in Kenya as a National Non Governmental Organization called Regional
Network on Child Protection (RENOCP) we would like to increase
the awareness concerning the ‘violence towards girls and women’.
Unfortunately the developing world is making less progress due to the fact
that girls and women are still not considered equal to men. Violence is perpetuated
in the shape of rape, defilement,
Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) or forced early marriages, where
young girls are married off by force to older men and don't have the opportunity
to go to school and to move on in life. There is enough evidence today to
demonstrate that Female Genital Mutilation (FGM)/Female genital Cutting (FGC)
and other forms of gender based violations of girls’ and women’s
rights are aimed at disempowering women. These happenings often have exclusion
from the community as a result.
Help these young girls to speak out for their rights or at least share their
issues with others so that help can be offered.
2.
Information this poster needs to contain:
The poster should be graphically attractive for young African girls and women
and a dynamic and inviting message should be used to attract girls/ young
women in different African Cultures, who suffer in silence, to discuss these
gender based violence issues.
With this poster we would like to motivate girls to contact the local organization
RENOCP for further help
and support (physically, emotionally and mentally).
Please avoid offensive material.
The poster must include the slogan:
“End Violence against girls and women"
