The Humanitarian International Design Organisation is a non-profit organisation according to the French law Association 1901 HIDO N° 0061022594.

Believing in the value of design, the Humanitarian International Design Organisation (HIDO) aims to improve the lives of people who are lacking basic needs and vital information in order to be able to make the right decisions in life. Based on long-term solutions, the organisation will provide information and/or a product through development, relief and campaigning to achieve these objectives. The organisation does not restrict itself to any particular geographic location.

To achieve this goal we try to gather volunteer designers from all disciplines from all over the world to come up with new ideas for people in need, adjusted to their cultures and their local habits and materials.

'design for people in need'
:: our aim
:: our goals

1.To be able to improve the life-circumstances of those in need, we will try to create a larger awareness in the Western society to attract the attention in order to be able to help as many people as possible.

2. Depending on the need will we design the right tool so that the given information or product will be most effective, starting with this generation and aiming at better futures for the following generations.
While designing the organisation will take into account age, gender, the general culture of the location and at the same time abiding by their local customs, beliefs and tribal laws.
